Who am I?

Hello, my child.  You may know me as God, Muhammad, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Baha’u’llah, Buddha, Adoni, Brahman, Vardhamana, Lao-Tse, Confucius, Zarathushtra or Izanagi and Izanami.  Whichever you choose, humanity still has no clear consensus on My nature.  The Abrahamic conceptions of Me include the monotheistic definition in Judaism, the trinitarian view of Christians, and prophetic Islamic concepts of who I am. The dharmic religions differ in their view of the divine: views of Me in Hinduism vary by region, sect, and caste, ranging from monotheistic to polytheistic to atheistic. Divinity was recognized by the historical Buddha, particularly Śakra and Brahma and other various divine beings.

Why?  Why are you trying so hard to define Me?  Why do you worship Me?  Why have you made Me divine?  You are in my image.  You, are divine.  Who am I?  Look inside yourself for the answer. Why do you not treasure yourselves as divine beings and give to and worship each other?  How can I make you understand that you can not know who and what I really am?   Even if I could invent words to make you understand, the concept would be too much for the human mind to comprehend.

Imagine an ant.  The ant crawls out of his anthill which has been made next to a wooden railroad track.  Upon crawling out, this ant is amazed by and intrigued by the railroad track. It has never seen anything so big.  It tries hard to identify it so the best it can do is guess.  All of a sudden, the train goes whizzing by at 90 miles per hour.  This event has shaken the ant, the hill and the entire ant universe.  To the ant, this was a miracle, an unbelievable event of epic proportion.  Utter catastrophe.  It humbles itself and feels endangered.  It tries to define it as a power beyond itself of whom it should fear.  It imagines that if it lives a better life or offers a sacrifice, it will stop another terrific event like this.  BUT…this train was going to Chicago.  Now, here is my point.  If the ant cannot understand the railroad track, and certainly can’t even begin to understand what a train is, how could it ever begin to comprehend Chicago?

Do you see?  Humanity is the ants and I am Chicago.  You make your efforts to leave Earth and figure it out but you never will.  You cannot. The conception of who I am, what I create and what I control is too big for your human mind.  There are forces in existence that you just can not comprehend.

Accept it and live as your heart tells you to live, and how to love.  That is your business.  If you want to be close to Me, talk to your heart; or as you say, pray.  Pay close attention and you will see Me as you gaze at a sunset or look into a newborn’s eyes.  You will hear Me as you listen to a child laugh or a the wind rush through a valley.  You will smell Me when you stand next to the ocean or walk through a field of flowers.  You will touch Me when you walk barefoot on grass or climb a tree.  You will taste Me when you bite into fresh fruit.  And you will know My Love the moment you watch your first-born child enter this world.

Be satisfied with how you are able to understand who I am.  Look inside yourself for what you seek.  If you choose to ask me a question, look inside your heart first and listen.  If you can not hear Me, ask Me a question.  I can only guide you.  The rest is up to you.

Love,

God
